OMEGA is kicking off 2026 with a bold visual twist on its most iconic timepiece. Today, the brand announced two new additions to the Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional collection, both featuring a striking "inverted" black-and-white dial configuration that brings a fresh, modern aesthetic to the classic NASA-approved chronograph.
The standout feature of these new 42 mm models is the construction of the step dial. Using a double-plate system, OMEGA has created a high-contrast look that prioritizes both style and legibility:
Main Dial: The top plate is a polished black with a varnished and lacquered finish for a deep, mirror-like sheen. It features rhodium-plated frames around the subdials and a white-transferred minute track.
Subdials: The base layer is finished in a crisp white (also varnished and lacquered), featuring black-transferred minute tracks.
This monochromatic reversal is tied together by a black ceramic bezel ring featuring a tachymeter scale in white enamel.

OMEGA is offering this new look in two distinct metal options:
The Stainless Steel Version: This model leans into the functional, tool-watch roots of the Speedmaster. It features rhodium-plated hands and hour markers filled with white Super-LumiNova for excellent low-light visibility.
The 18K Moonshine Gold Version: For those seeking a more luxurious presence, this version uses OMEGA’s proprietary long-lasting yellow gold alloy. The hands and markers are crafted from 18K Moonshine Gold, while the central chronograph hand is PVD-treated in Moonshine Gold to match.
While the look is new, the soul of the watch remains tied to the history of lunar exploration. Both models are powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. This movement is the modern evolution of the legendary Calibre 321 that accompanied astronauts to the Moon.
Because it is Master Chronometer certified, owners are guaranteed the highest industry standards for precision, magnetic resistance (up to 15,000 gauss), and performance. Both versions come with a 5-year warranty.
Both watches are paired with the classic polished-brushed Moonwatch-style bracelet. Notably, they include OMEGA’s patented comfort release adjustment system, allowing the wearer to make micro-adjustments to the bracelet fit without needing tools—a welcome feature for daily wear.
By combining the timeless "Moonwatch" silhouette with a contemporary inverted dial, OMEGA has managed to respect its heritage while offering something genuinely new for 2026. Whether in rugged steel or radiant Moonshine Gold, the black-and-white Speedmaster is a masterclass in monochrome design.
