Oris Gallops into 2026 with the Year of the Horse Limited Edition

To celebrate the upcoming Chinese Year of the Fire Horse, which begins on February 17, 2026, Oris has announced a striking new collectible: the Year of the Horse Limited Edition. Designed to reflect the enthusiasm, confidence, and drive for success associated with this zodiac sign, the watch is a vibrant fusion of high-concept mechanical expertise and cultural significance.

A Blaze of Crimson Design

The timepiece is immediately recognizable by its bold "blaze of crimson" aesthetic.

Dial: The face features a deep, dark red dial with fiery-hued subdials.

Strap: In keeping with the equestrian theme, it is paired with a dark brown strap made of supple cordovan (horse hide) leather.

Case: The 43mm multi-piece case is crafted from stainless steel and features a see-through sapphire glass back.

High-Concept Mechanical Performance

Powering the watch is the hand-wound Oris Calibre 113, one of the brand's most ambitious in-house movements.

10-Day Power Reserve: The movement boasts an impressive 240-hour (10-day) power reserve.

Unique Indicators: A non-linear power reserve indicator at 3 o'clock includes custom horse motifs: a galloping horse indicates the mainspring is fully charged, while a relaxing horse shows it is ready for winding.

Business Calendar: The dial serves as a comprehensive calendar, displaying the day, date, month, and the current week via a scale running around the outer edge.

Exclusivity

Reflecting the cultural importance of the number 88—which symbolizes double luck and prosperity—this edition is limited to just 88 numbered pieces. Each watch is delivered in a special wooden presentation box.

The Oris Year of the Horse Limited Edition will be available starting in January 2026.
